The conference will be held at the National Technical University "Kharkov Polytechnical Institute" (in the Rector building and in the building of Physical Engineering Faculty).

Kharkov is situated in the east of Ukraine. It was founded in 1654. Kharkov is the second most important scientific and cultural center and the first machine-building center in Ukraine. Its population is about 1.5 million. The year 2010 is the 356-th anniversary of the Kharkov foundation.

National Technical University "Kharkov Polytechnical Institute" (founded in 1885) has remarkable scientific traditions. Famous mathematicians A.M. Lyapunov and V.A.Steklov, the Nobel Prize laureate physicist L.D.Landau and other well-known scientists worked in this Institute. The University is situated in the center of the Kharkov city.

The year 2010 is the 125-th anniversary of the University.

Kharkov is easily accessible by plane or by train. It takes 5.5 hours to travel by daily train (twice per day) and about 8 hours by night train from Kiev. The train travel from Moscow to Kharkov is about 11 hours.

All participants of the conference NONLINEAR DYNAMICS-2010 who arrive in Kharkov by train can use Subway to get National Technical University where the conference is to be held.

Figure 1 in attachment of this message demonstrates the scheme of Kharkov Subway.

To get university follow one of two alternative ways:

Way 1: By means of Kholodnohirs’ka line of Subway go from the station Pivdennyi Vokzal (station of the Railway Station) to Radians’ka and change the line by Saltivs’ka line (station Istorychnyi Muzei). Follow then to Pushkins’ka station. Figure 2 shows the walk route from Subway to university buildings.

Way 2: By means of Kholodnohirs’ka line of Subway go from the station Pivdennyi Vokzal (station of the Railway Station) to Sportyvna and change the line by Oleksiivs’ka line (station Metrobudivnykiv imeni Vashchenka). Follow then to Arkhitektora Beketova station. Figure 2 shows the walk route from Subway to university buildings.

Registration of the participants is to be held in Rector (Main) Building.

All hotels mentioned in our cite are situated close to Subway. Therefore you can easily get to you hotel by Subway.
